export stills bigger than actual video size
Hi everyone,
How can I export stills with FCP in a bigger size than the actual video and sequence size?
(the footage is in a terrible 320×240 because the video is not the aim of the project -i’m making choreographies that later should be studied and danced-, but I need to work some stills in photoshop and they come out too small…

Give up trying to make any printable stills from that itty bitty video. The video is already 4X less than the resolution of a 300dpi photo with the same pixel dimensions. So, you would need HD video at 1280×720 just to wind up with stills at 360×180 at 300dpi, which is standard still resolution for print media.

No I don’t need to print it. of course, that would be nothing but silly,
I need to work it on photoshop and it has to be big enough to see a body more or less clearly… -
As far as I’m aware- you can’t. Think about the technicalities of that. The video IS a certain resolution. In a way photographers understand-HD is sort of like having 25 (depending on where you are) 2.07 (ish) megapixel images every second. There is no way of increasing the resolution (well, not actually- there are a few ways of tricking it with various plugins, but most are pants). Unless you shot with film, which is a little different.
