  time base choice for sequence settings: most input or delivery?

  Too much technology and there seems to be no easy anwser!

  The video is shot at 23.98 fps, 29.97 fps and 59.94 fps (h264 converted to prores and dvcpro).

  it is action sports with a significant amount of slowmo, of which is a very important part to have high quality. Thus the reason for so much being shot in 59.94.

  I have used cinema tools to slow to 50% with video shot at 60p (great success).
  for greater slow down I use twixtor with varying success (some has been very impressive).

  3 questions:
  1- I have been running test sequences in both 59.94 and 29.97 with mixed footage. the 59.94 seems to look better in the time line and after I export through compressor. Why?
  Am I doing something wrong? ah or should I say what is the biggest thing I am doing wrong.

  2- Is editing in a 59.94 time line an issue with delivery?
  this is my 4th movie and the first 3 have been dvd, I am looking to move to an HD delivery; Blue-ray, or an online down-loadable version.
  I will post trailers on utube and Vimeo also.
  I have a strong following with a niche market and many will still want dvd, but I want to offer a HD version and do not want to make any bad decisions on the work flow that will hurt me down the road.

  3 – any recommendations on a setting options for the test runs in compressor.

  BTW; I am not on a tight time line, I am ussing fcp 6/ macpro 8 core.
