    Hello Everyone,

I am new here and I would appreciate your help. I edited a project and now I am ready to export and I don’t have a clue what setting I should choose. The other time time I exported a project it looked fine on my laptop but when I turned in the digital file to my boss he couldn’t see it on his computer, it was a white blank screen with sound but no picture. I tested out the quicktime file on three computers and it was the same thing blank white screen and on my laptop it shows fine. I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to export and maybe you guys can give me some pointers I would greatly appreciate it.

You probably used a codec that only works if you have Final Cut on your machine. If your delivery file is a .mov I recommend the H.264 codec which can be read on every machine that has Quicktime installed.
Go export>Quick Time conversion. Keep the format setting to Quicktime and click the Options Button. Under Videosettings you can select Compression-Type : H.264

Let the FCP manual be your friend. It has very detailed information.
