    Hi.

I’m experiencing a problem with FCP 6, and I’m hoping to get some advice.
When I playback music with a fade at the end, a strange audio hiccup happens. Instead of fading out, the audio suddenly blasts loud instead. If anyone has ideas about why this is happening, I’d really appreciate hearing them.

    Thank you very much,
    Lillie

Yes, I have rendered the audio. Just for more information, this audio problem generally only happens in long timelines (over an hour).

Is the audio you have applied the fade to a compressed format like mp3 or aac? It should be aif or wav, 16 or 24 bit, 48khz. If the bit depth or sample rate is different to that or the sequence is not 48 khz, then audio problems are common, so check sequence and clips are 48khz and uncompressed formats like aif or wav
