    hey guys i just got cs3 installed and rite when i start it i get a error saying couldnt open gL . but after fx still works . then when i shut it down it says error cant read memory .
    any one else had this problem ?

    ae7 uses open gl and it works fine . just not with cs3 .. i have a nvidia gforce 5200 256 mb … my other specs match up to the requirments . i went to adobe website for help , but that was useless… any ideas?

    for opengl issues, it can often be traced to the driver. if your card is supported by cs3, then try installing the latest drivers for your card.

    also, make sure you have the latest version of ae cs3. just run the adobe updater.

    i’m unsure of the cause for the ‘can’t read memory’ upon quiting ae.

    i jsut found out i need open gl 2.0 i only have 1.5 so i gotta get a new video card i guess .. i just got a new one about 3 months ago . but was a impulse buy .. now i gotta go out and get the rite one .. thanks for replying moldyboot

    You didn’t mention if you’re on a Mac or on a Pc. For Mac, OpenGL in CS3 isn’t supported yet as far as I know.

    opengl is supported in cs3 on mac as of the 8.0.1 update that was released about a month or so ago.
