  FCP freezing or saying “no video” when rying to capture from Betacam SP deck (UVW 1800)

  I’m trying to capture video to fcp 4.5 from a Betacam SP deck (UVW 1800). I have done this many times before. For whatever reason, FCP now freezes completely (I have to force quit) everytime I try this OR it will say something like “Unable to ocmplete as there is no video” **This message pops up when I try to capture using capture now. Oddly, the video and audio comes through just fine in the little preview window in the log and capture screen before I click “capture now”. Thoughts?

  Nevermind, just answered my own question, but let me know of any tips for avoiding this.
