  • Interlaced or Progressive Motion Graphics in Interlaced Timeline?

I am still getting used to using these forums so maybe I didn’t search in the right places, however I would appreciate any advice someone may have for this question:

I am working in a 422 ProRes Interlaced timeline, and am outputting graphics from Motion in the 422 ProRes codec. Progressive I hear is the best way to output, but if it is ending up in an interlaced timeline, should I just be outputting them interlaced?

I’m sure there’s a simple answer to this, I just don’t want to make any guess work with this. Thank you for any advice you may have.

Depends on the movement. Roll titles should be interlaced. I usually ask for AE exports to be done with fields if they are going into an interlaced sequence.
