    Hey Guys,

Using FCP 7 and just started capturing a few months ago HD thru HDV . one little glitch that is bothering us editors, and i’ve been doing research. The “scene” breaks make another clip, now all the stuff i have been reading was old stuff on fcp5. It states that with HDV, and set to “on timecode break” “warn after” it just aborts capture. Its very frustrating since we capture a lot of clips and then having to go thru and see the files with a “-1” and either discard or included these “-1” clips.

Is the anyway that FCP7 will ignore these scene breaks, and just capture? thanks for your help.

In FCP the HDV capture window is different than other capture windows.
There is a checkbox in it to enable/disable scene breaks.
