I’m looking for advice on working with two different types of footage, and subsequently creating the best sequence settings for doing so in FCP7.

Project: short film shot on film and digital.

Media: about 30% on 16mm film and 70% on 1080i HD.

Final output: SD PAL DVD projected onto a large screen.

I’m new to creating mixed media workflows and would be grateful for any help!

Get your 16mm transfered to tape at 1080i25 to match the rest of your footage and just edit in a 1080i25 timeline. Then down-convert to SD PAL when your finished either through compressor/Kona Card/another company etc.
