    Hello all;

    I’m having a strange issue with my Mac and Final Cut Pro. Specifically, I have several promo feeds that need to be edited, but when we playback the 720p footage captured from an SDI the video is out of sync.

    Here’s where the weirdness comes into it. As when we pause the playback the video frame snaps back to it’s proper position. We can transcode the video and it’s usable, but I was wondering if there’s any other way around this. We’ve had the same issue on multiple machines, and even on Quicktime playback.

    Here’s my tech specs if it’ll help:

    Mac Pro running OS X Snow Leopard
    Dual Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.26 GHz
    8 GB memory
    Running Final Cut Studio 2

    Thank you.

    Sorry about that. It’s a Apple ProRes (HQ) file digitized using a BlackMagic DeckLink Extreme card over SDI input.

    Jerry;

    Does anyone know why this might be happening?

    Now the problem is occurring on our other edit bay (she’s using an AJA KONA board, aslo digitizing to ProRes HQ over SDI input.
