• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  FCP Studio 3 and FCP 7 Academic

  A question about FCP Studio 3 – including FCP 7.. I’m not a fan of the new Pro X and would rather use FCP 7, but we all know how expensive it can be. I know someone in school with a new Final Cut Pro Studio 3 including FCP 7 and everything else that comes with it. They are willing to sell it to me since they will not be using it. It’s sealed – bran new and never been opened. But, I’m not a student anymore. Once I purchase it – does it matter? Is ‘academic’ really only for the purchaser or will I need proof of academic use once I go to register? Just wondering if this is a smart decision or if once I purchase it.. I’ll find out it’s useless to me because I can’t set it up.

  Keep an eye on ebay and the like. Now that FCS will not be updated, I assume people will be selling old copies, legit. Don’t know if it will be buggy on Lion but before that all good.
