    FIRST TIME CAPTURING HDV into Final Cut Pro 5.0

    I am using a Sony HDR-FX7 and trying to Log and Capture in my HDV footage. I am having difficutly importing HD Video into Final Cut 5.0.

    Is there any presets I need to be doing on the software or the camera. Please Help!

    You need to choose the proper EASY SETUP first. Choose HDV 1080i60, then try again.

    But know that FCP 5.0 was the first version to work with HDV…there might be some issues. Update at least to 5.0.4..use the Software update.

    At one point I was able to capture video. However, strangely the footage was very small in the canvas. It didn’t fit the screen. Is this normal when editing HDV?

    I am certain i shot in HD.
    Also, I am using a MAC OSX Version 10.5.8, 1.42 GHZ, Power PC G4 Memory 1GB
