  Bit rate in Compressor and DVD Studio Pro

  Some questions about compressing and burning a 90 minute FCP project. If I want to get the best quality, what should I keep my bitrate as, in both of these programs? I heard too high is not good because some DVD players will have a problem with it. But I don’t want to go too low if it’s sacrificing too much quality. I’m not sure what compressor has, but DVD Studio Pro’s default is 4 mbps.

  Also, is a one pass or two pass better? I’ve read opposing opinions on that. I’m sure both of these programs have that choice as well. So many options..
