• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Final Cut will not save and creates exe files with project

  Since downloading a final cut project via a compressed zip file from another user, I have been having problems saving my projects. Whenever I try to save my work, it asks me to ‘save as’ my project. When I try to click on the document name I was previously working under it won’t let me click on it. Then it creates an exe file in that same file with random letters and numbers. Very unusual….

  Exe? For real?

  Sounds like a permissions issue. Quit FCP and get info on the project and check the permissions towards the bottom of the info window.

  I looked into that. That is not it. Basically every time I save a new exe file is created. It will never let me just save, just save as. It opens and final cut runs the exe file, and makes the final cut pro doc you want to save into a unixe file. HELP!
