    Hi guys,

I’m working on a 640×360 comp, scaling down assets and precomps that have lots of resolution to spare.

In the future, I may want a 1280×720 version of the project – so I thought I might be able to nest the lo-res comp in a hi-res comp, scale 200%, and collapse the transformations.

All’s good until I start getting into 3D, which doesn’t work (or should it, in theory? might I be messing something up?).

Maybe what I’m asking is, is there a way to collapse only 2D transformations. Or more generally, how can I get the original resolution of my assets back?

One solution obviously is to work in 720p, but I don’t have the power for it.

    Thanks

Sure you do, you just don’t have the patience. It used to take us a weekend to render ten seconds of a single layer.

More of a deadline issue unfortunately, but point well taken 😉

I’ve run into some other problems whose solutions might end up solving this one. I’ll post back after some investigation.
