dropped frames in the browser
i have been given footage already transcoded to mp4, when i try to view the footage in the browser window it lapses…when i render the clips they play back perfectly in the canvas. what is the best solution? i wanted to work in uncompressed 8-bit, but as i said the footage was already transcoded and it will take forever to transcode all the clips in mpegstreamclip. please help

MP4 is not an editing codec for Final Cut Pro. ProRes at the very least. You will get all sorts of weirdness, dropped frames and crashes editing in MP4.
