Log and Transfer for EX plugin isn’t online
Hey guys,
We’re trying to get some EX footage into Final Cut, but when we go to the sony site and try to download the log and transfer plugin – it won’t download. What’s especially annoying is that the mp4 files in the media folders will only play with VLC, not qt, compressor, mpeg stream clip, etc. Any ideas how we’re supposed to get this footage into Final Cut without using the plugin from Sony?
For reference, we’ve tried to download the sony files from two separate locations on multiple macs, so it’s not a download problem on our end. Going to the sony site and clicking ‘download’ for any of the programs or plugins results in…nothing.

Just went there and tested it… it downloaded just fine.

Surprise – it doesn’t work with safari. Firefox is fine. Sigh….

Get the Sony CLIP BROWSER…
This will read the card, and export as XDCAM QT movies that import into FCP.

well I´ve got a problem in the Log and Transfer FCP 6 (i don´t have the 7 yet – i need to upgrade)
I have a Panasonic P2 Hpx 171e Im from Portugal-Lisbon 🙂
Last weel I was filming a show at 720p25 (not the native panasonic) well Im in the log and transfer and doesn´t work the trasnfer.. I don´t know why.. But when I film 720p25pn does work.
Can you help me out??

YOu cannot transfer the footage to FCP if you shot 720p25? AT ALL? It should come in as 720p50, but with the 25p “feel.” But it should still come in.

No Shane… Doesn´t work at all. It´s weird..
My luck was that I have the Premiere and works there.. but on FCP no! Dammm
