Converting Still Image Size In Sequence…
I’m creating a stop-motion project and have scores of photos already positioned in my timeline. I have almost completed the project but can no longer render due to memory issues. The stills are 5184×3186 and more than likely need to be compressed into 1920×1080 – just wondering if there is a painless way to accomplish this without having to do it still by still in Photoshop, or without having to redo the sequence?

I have done something similar. You can use a batch on PS to resize all the images. First make a backup of the images. Then run a batch resize on the images. Generally in PS you’d have the images in a folder and run the batch on the folder. Just have it save right over the old files (hence the backup) and FCP will see the changes and relink. But they’ll be real tiny now. Rescale one to fit correctly and copy it, then paste the applicable attributes (scale & maybe distort) to all the others at once.
