    Hi,

I am editing hdv footage on FCP, the exports need to be sent internationally via FTP but the clients are using AVID. What codec is best to export either directly from FCP or via Compressor that is manageble via FTP but still retains the quality and can be imported into Avid at the other end?

I have downloaded the avid codecs and attempted the DNxHD setting as well as the avi conversion, both of which play back corrupted on the mac, and the former has too high a file size to successfully transfer via the web.

    Does anyone have any suggestions???
