Merging clip one frame off
Hi this is my first post on creative cow becuse I have always been able to find a person with the same techinical problem that i have had. But now I have a problem that i can´t find on this page.
Here is my problem.
I´m assistent editor on a feature film shot on 35 mm. I download the daylies frome the lab, they are in apple prores 422 (proxy). I create subclip frome the labrolls. I put an in point on the clap/mark on the subclip and a in point on the sound. Then when I merge picture and sound the sound is one frame off (some times one fram after and sometimes one frame before the clap,).The strange thing is it doesn´t hapend on every clip. If I go back to the sound and set the in point one frame off and then merge picture and sound it´s in synk. The strange thing is it seems totaly random which clip will be in synk and which will overshoot/undershoot one frame.
