  Log and Transfer Problems!

  I currently run FCP 6.06 and trying to ingest some AVCHD footage shot on a Panasonic HMC150. I can see the clips fine in the L&T window, can set in and out points and even scrub through with decent speed/accuracy. The problem comes when L&T actually converts the file to ProRes or AIC. After the conversion process the clip appears as just a gray clip. It appears this way not only in FCP but when I try and play the file in Quicktime Player too. I’ve recently uninstalled FCP, checked plugins, quicktime, etc. What could be the problem? I’ve successfully logged and transferred on another similar editor in the group with the same specs. Any ideas?

  If you are importing as ProRes, you should note that FCP6 only supports certain types – I think standard ProRes and ProRes HQ. Not LT or 4444.
