already did a rough cut of a project shot on 5Dmii in FCP7, but an empty capture scratch replaced the full one and all the footage is gone – ahhh!
I am now cutting a compressed (H.264), quicktime movie version of an older cut of the same project – I need to add boris 3D titles, and do color correction on the quicktime. Problem is, the export of that cut of the quicktime project to Vimeo looks terrible – i guess the double compression is killing the image quality.

Any suggestions on how I can cut this quicktime in FCP7, then export it to Vimeo (and DVD) without it looking so poor?

    Much thanks for any help…

Convert all h.264s to ProRes’s. H.264s are not for editing, They are for delivering.
