I know there has been a lot of discussion of “out of memory” messages relating to too-large still images. I think this is something different. I got it while trying to render a sequence. This was a sequence that I had no trouble rendering a week before, and which I had made only a few changes to. I tried rendering individual clips, and it did a few, and then started giving me the out of memory message. It also would not let me export using QuickTime Conversion. There is plenty of disk space available. I’ve trashed the FCP preferences. When that didn’t work I removed and installed FCP (7). When that didn’t do anything, I reinstalled the Mac operating system, 10.6. Can anyone explain what is happening, and what I should do?

    Thanks,

    Rick Tejada-Flores
