Multiclip Troubles…
Hey Everybody.
My problem is probably simple and a quick fix but since I can’t seem to find anyone on here with the exact same problem I figured I’d ask.
Here’s the deal. This is my first attempt at cutting some something in multiclip and I am running into a few roadblocks.
It’s footage of a live rock show shot on two cameras (7D & T2i) converted to ProRez 422. 1920×1080 24fps (23.98) The footage is stored on a Western Digital HD (2TB) connected to the cpu via USB and I am cutting with FCP 7.0.3.
My computer is a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 with a Memory of 4GB.
So what happens is, after I set my in points (based on a camera flash) and make a multiclip and place it into the timeline I get a red render line. I’ve tried switching my timeline to unlimited RT (which gives me an orange render bar ) but then the footage only plays for a second or two before giving me the old “Warning Dropped Frames” message.
Is my computer not fast enough? Is it the WD hard drives?
Yes I have placed the viewer/canvas to “open”. Any thoughts? I’d really appreciate any expertise. I’m really dreading having to cut this 30 min show the hard way. Thanks!
