  Still images in FCP

  Hey all,

  I am about to start a stop motion video project in FCP and need a little help. The time line will be set up at 1920×1080, will be importing tif files, (unless they should be something else???) what I need to know is this. What would the compressor setting be? The final output will be for the web, more than likely to flash video.

  TIFF is fine. Hold up pretty well in post.

  Ensure the resolutions is not above 4K, FCP can freak out with files that big.

  One place that trips a bunch of people up is pixel orientation. FCP assumes graphics file are in square pixels. It adjusts the image to compensate for the difference in pixel aspect ratio between the image and the sequence.
