    Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody has updated to 10.6.7 that was just released today and if anybody has found any compatibility issues with FCP. I figure there is no better place to ask.

    Cheers,

    Mark

Just updated, final cut won’t open now. Going to shut down and reboot. I’ll let you know if I find anything

OK, the normal system update restart wasn’t enough. Had to shut down and reboot. Seems to be working fine now.

[Matt Holmes] “Had to shut down and reboot. Seems to be working fine now.”

A sudden warm gail-force wind was suddenly felt around the world as a collective sigh of relief was released simultaneously by Mac owners around the planet.

Please, don’t do that again Matt, collective sighing is one of the leading causes of global warming.

Sorry for the scare everyone. Should have tried the second reboot first, then combined into one post. Usually don’t have to do that though. Happy 10.6.7.

How ’bout this: took me two reboots after the update (not a normal thing), one with the update installation and the second a manual reboot. Final Cut refused to open after multiple attempts in between the two.

That’s enough for me. Staying away. Still on 10.6.4!

Updated, system rebooted, FCP, Color opened 1st time, no problems. Grading today and Color seems fine.

ANYTIME you do an update… Clone your system drive and reset your permissions after the initial reboot.

Hey, I recently did this update. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a Kona 3 card. On 10.6.6, I can pull stuff off of a Panasonic D5 or the Sony HDcamSR with no problems on FCP…as soon as I did this update, I kept getting a ‘searching for timecode breaks’ error on everything I’ve tried to pull in after the update, when there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO time code breaks in the material…As soon as I go back to 10.6.6, no problem once again. Now I also have Smoke for Mac installed, and that pulls in fine, so it’s specific to this update, FCP and the Kona 3..anyone else heard of this?
