  Audio plays in Viewer but not Timeline

  I’m running a MacBook 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo running Final Cut Pro 7.0.3. I have a ProRes LT sequence where I have ProRes LT video and 48k/16-bit audio with it from my DSLR that plays fine in the sequence. Unfortunately when I drag into the timeline additional audio from my M-Audio Microtrack (48k/24-bit WAV), this audio does not play and I get the dreaded “Warning – Dropped Frames” error.

  However, when I open this 48k/24-bit audio in the viewer, it plays fine. I’ve never had this issue before.

  I trashed the prefs, but that didn’t help. The only thing I can think of is that my Final Cut Pro setup was working fine and I have since installed FxFactory. Could that have an effect on it? I have since realized that FxFactory is not compatible with my system because of my Intel graphics card.

  An update to this issue. I synced all my audio and video in PluralEyes and now the audio and video play together without dropping frames. HOWEVER, when there is no video to go with the audio (when the audio plays by itself) the playback stops and I get the dropped frames error.
