We have each of our studio cameras recording to separate KiPro deck’s (iso’d) to do mulitcam editing in post.
We archive completed 30 minute programs for future editing needs, but with all the camera footage the projects get really big, and will be bigger when we go to high def.

I’d like our work flow to go like this:
    1. separate project to sync cameras and create a mulitcam switch quicktime series of clips.
    2. Take mulitcam into a new project to edit the program.

what I’m not sure of is when FCP creates a multicam clip, is that referencing the original clip or is it new independent media?

If it is referencing the iso’d footage. then we will need to render out a new QT media file.

    Anyone know the answer?

    Thanks
