Hi. I’m working on a project in a 30fps 1080p timeline. The vast majority of my footage fits that setting, but a small percentage is 60fps 720p. I’ve encoded it to 30fps using MPEG Streamclip, but I’m wondering what’s the best way to integrate that into my project now. Should I just edit as is, or should I up-res to 1080p? I have Magic Bullet Instant HD or the Matrox Mini I/O to up-res, but I’m not positive that it will end up looking that much better than just using the 720p footage in a 1080p sequence. Advice?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

Just drop your 720 clip into your 1080 timeline – no worries. FCP will handle it for you.

What exactly happens? Is the 720 up scaled to 1080?
    Thanks
