what plugin creates this effect?
Hi there, I’m trying to create the effect shown in this clip at the 1:26 and 2:56 mark

Also is there a name for this sort of effect? Where it looks like the frames of a film roll passing threw a projector at the wrong speed?

Mike, the first effect looks like a pretty typical “Bad TV” treatment … fair enough for that style of content I suppose but it was all a bit trite. I bet their client loved it tho. Didn’t watch the second clip, the first was quite enough for me.

I think your right it looks like the Bad TV filter that comes with FCP. There probably are variations that can be bought.
If you want to see more of this plugin watch Ghost Adventures. Don’t think they can go more than thirty seconds without using this.

Yeah it some kind of Bad TV, the plug in in the Boris Continuum set, is subtler and gives more perameters if you’ve got the cash…
