    Hi all!

I’ve done some google searches for this problem, and haven’t found anything other than “use compressor”. Compressor seems to cause me more trouble than its worth most of the time.

I’m trying to convert/export about 3 hours of 23.98 Apple XDCAM quicktimes to 29.97 Apple Pro Res 422 quicktimes using Batch Export in FCP. But when I do, on most clips, it trims off parts of the end of the clip. I’ve tried it checking “use in and out” and not checking it. But it does the same thing both ways. Does it have something to do with changing the frame rate? Although I can export one clip individually and its fine. Any thoughts? I can’t use Mpeg streamclip beacuse I need to preserve the multiple channels of audio. (unless there’s a way to do that, I’ll take that too…)

    Thanks for your help!

I think I’d leave the frame rate alone… edit in 23.98 then export adding pulldown if need be. If you have a capture card, it may be able to add the pulldown during the edit so you can view externally in 29.97 or record to tape in 29.97, all in real time.

Also, if you intend to go to the web or to DVD in the end, there’s no need to edit in 29.97 at all.
