An interesting new issue that I can’t seem to find an answer to. I am exporting via Quicktime Movie Conversion a series of edited HD videos from FCP. The sequences are 1280 x 720 30p and the Quicktimes are 720×480 16:9. I need to keep the data rate to 1200 kbps and for the last 10 sequences I have edited I have been able to create the QT movies without issue. For some reason out of the blue the QT movies I am creating now end up at about 3700kbps regardless of what value I enter for “restrict data rate”.

Anyone experience this before and know what’s going on?

    Are you setting “Key-frames” AUTO?
    What about the Audio setting?

Thank you! Your reply made me re-review my settings and I realize I had not set my audio to AAC. Now all is operating normally as before. Operator error…
