  problem renaming clip to match file

  Hi,

  I’m trying to rename the audio clips of my project to match the files for the sound designer before exporting to OMF. I’m working on FCP 6.0.5, MacBook Pro.

  I select the audio clip on the timeline and click Modify – Rename, but the “clip to match file” remains gray, so I can’t select it. What am I doing wrong?

  Maybe you need to do this in the browser, not the timeline.

  I believe this action has to be done in the Browser as suggested by Neil.
