Hi all, I recently installed Final Cut Studio 3 on my macbook but decided I need to work in Final Cut Studio 2 because at work, al our machines still run FCS2. So I used FCP Remover to delete my FCS3 and ran the FCS2 disks.

Now, I have a problem where I cannot install Final Cut but everything else will install. When I hover over FCP with my mouse during install, it says a new version is installed. I cannot figure out whats going on here. Any help here? Thanks.

    Hi Bruno,
Please get the use of making a bit of search by your self before posting.
    This is free and fast:
    https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/

and shows up on top of the page as soon as you type “Uninstalling Final Cut Pro”, on Google.

Thanks for the reply, but if you read my post you would see that I did do my research and FCP Remover has not succeeded in completely removing everything. There is some part of Final Cut 7 still in my machine somewhere and I cannot install Final Cut 6.

If you have other Apple Pro Apps on your system such as Logic, Shake, Aperture or iMovie, FCS Remover will ask you if you definitely want to remove shared files otherwise it could break those apps.

However, if you are reinstalling Final Cut Studio anyway, that doesn’t matter because the files will be reinstalled. What I’m guessing happened is that FCS Remover asked you if you wanted to remove shared files and you clicked no, hence why you can’t reinstall Final Cut Studio.

    My software:
FCS Maintenance Pack – Tools to keep Final Cut Studio running smoothly and fix problems when they arise
FCP Versioner – Backs up Final Cut Pro projects to XML and creates changelists for each revision
    More tools…

    Hi Bruno,
You are right. I’ve shot to fast again without reading twice the post.
