  timeline gone in final cut express

  Hello,

  The Timeline & Canvas of my project do not appear when I open my project using FinalCut Express. By going to Window>Canvas/Timeline they are not active. I’ve tried reverting back to standard viewing mode by going to Window>Arrange>Standard and they still do not appear. Is my project gone? How do I get it back? Pls help!

  Not sure if this is related but when I opened the program this morning I received a message saying “unable to locate external device apple firewire ntsc 720×480.”

  Thanks for any/all advice!

  Double click on the sequence in the browser- its the yellow icon with little square things in it.
