  Problem editing Canon D550 footage

  Hi Guys

  I have recently purchased a new camrea, Cannon 550 DRSL. When I bring the footage into FCP its H.264 its this a good editing type or should I convert it into say DV Pal? I use Pal as am from the UK.

  do not edit h.264 footage in FCP – this is asked here many times a week.

  Download the Canon E1 plugin its free, then you can transfer the footage in FCP via the log and transfer window.

  Change all of your footage to ProRes LT or higher.
