    Hello,
I’m rendering a 2 minute clip of green screen interview from After Effects. When I play the .mov export in Quicktime it looks great. However, when I import the file into my Final Cut time line it doesn’t play in real time.
I tried making smaller exports, about 30 seconds or so and it was the same problem. I’ve been through the settings and haven’t found anything that looks like it would fix this issue.
    Any suggestions?

I’m working with FCP 7, AE CS5 on a Mac Book Pro with 4GB RAM.

    Thank you!

    Hi Alexis,
Which codec are you using to export from AE?
What kind of sequence setting do you have in FC?

On default After effects exports a Quicktime file with Animation codec.
This codec can’t be played back realtime in FCP.
Choose an export codec that FCP likes. Like ProRes HQ or ProRes444.
Or Create a ProRes timeline in FCP. Import your After Effects export and render.
