Hello All. I have a question for you. I am trying to export an OMF but it keeps giving me an error “The resulting file would be greater than 2 GB in size and is not currently supported.” I have never seen this message before and wonder if you have and if so any suggestion on how get around it?

I am working on FCP V 6.0.6 the show is 90 minutes long

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

2GB is the maximum size for OMF.

You need to split your export into 2 or more. For example you can select tracks 1 to 4 and make one export, then select 5 to 8 for another export.

How you will split depends on how much stuff is on tracks. Selection is done by turning track visibility off for the unwanted tracks in your export. (Not the Mute button!)

    Hope this helps,

Hi Patrice, thank you so much for writing. It does help a lot. I was not aware of this limitation.

    Thanks for your suggestions,

    Sincerely,

    Antonio
