psd import
Posted by Craig Swanson on October 28, 2010 at 2:21 amSo I created a 1920 X 1080 square pixel image in Photoshop. I import it into FCP. It puts it in a nested DVCPro Sequence, but I’m using XDCAM 422 hd sequence. How do I change the default import settings?

October 28, 2010 at 3:54 amThis is what exactly happens when you don’t begin projects correctly by setting the Easy Setup precisely to match the video you’re working on. Setting the easy setup properly will ensure that every new sequence opened will match what you’re working on, whereas being lazy ensures that all new seqs. will be DV, as that’s the default.

October 28, 2010 at 4:03 amnot so much lazy as forgetful. I was testing new settings and forgot to change it back. Because I only imported 1 file, and that too was a test, no harm was done.
Soon after I posted is when the realization hit me.

October 28, 2010 at 4:12 amSorry Craig. I’m just in a bad mood because my client unlocked a locked 1-hour project that I just finished color grading, and he secretly made a whole bunch of changes on six channels of picture, and now at 9:15pm I have to figure out what the heck he did and how I’m gonna fix it. Ugh!!!
