I’m new to AAE… I made a title for a person I interviewed with AAE. I imported it into FCP and I got a black screen with my title. How do I make my background transparent in AAE? Also can I view my work on a TV monitor in AAE like I do in FCP? Thanks for the help.

When you put your title in the render queue click on output module and pick a format that allows for an alpha channel. (Such as quicktime, animation codec, millions+, the + stands for alpha).

And to answer your other question, yes you can preview on a monitor if you have AE 6.5, check the help files for info on firewire output.
I have a firewire card that goes into my camera which feeds into my telly.

Thank you, it worked! Can you use your telly in AAE 6.0? Thanks for the help.

I don’t think a Windows machine can do it in 6.0. But if you haven’t upgraded to 6.5 you SO should. You get hundreds of
