Shot an event and the edit turned out to be 90 minutes. Sent out the file to be a Quicktime Conversion from FCP 7. I’ve been doing this for nine months with no issues. I have snow leopard & Quicktime 10, but just downloaded Quicktime 7 as well.

    Is that the issue?

When I send out the video the size is anywhere between 25-45GB (normally 7GB).

Also, when I attempt to open the movie the error message says that it’s not a .mov file. Help!!!!

[Edward Neary] “Is that the issue?”

I’m afraid Edward that you need to tell us what the issue is. With no details on what you are exporting from, to and settings, we need to have your workflow and your problem explained in greater depth.

    MOVIE SETTINGS:
    Compression: Matrox Max H.264
    Quality: Medium
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Bitrate: 6400 kbits/sec
    Compress using the CAVLC algorythm
    De-Interlace video data before compressing
    IDC level 4.1
    Dimensions: 1440X1080 (1888×1062)

==I tested this with another wedding and it worked fine.

==I also sent a small piece (3 minutes) of this problem video and it worked fine.

==Also, I exported this problem video as a Quicktime movie and it worked fine (huge file 17GB), I just need to De-interlace because the video is choppy without that option.

==Can I create settings in Compressor that will allow for de-interlacing that is effective?
