  audio recording too high

  I recorded some footage, I made a mistake and therefore the audio was recorded too loud.
  Instead of setting my Sennheisers to -6db I set them to 0db. Therefor audio is way too loud.
  Is there a way of getting it right, or at least a lot better than it sounds right now?
  I need help, I have to deliver the film tomorrorow.

  Is the audio clipping? If so how badly? Beyond a point there is nothing that can be done. I heard a demo of the new Izotope declip and with mildly clipped audio is does a great job of fixing it. https://www.izotope.com/products/audio/rx/
  It runs on a Windows PC – standalone or as a VST plugin.

  Shooting without monitoring via headphones is asking for trouble. You would have been able to hear the problem and fixed it the only proper way – in the field. Clipped audio is like peaked whites in video. Information is lost and can only be recovered to a minor degree. Bad clipping in video and audio is unrecoverable.
