FCP7 Quicktime Export BUG

I’ve been experiencing something weird since going to FCP7. When I export from the timeline using Quicktime Export using same settings as timeline, multiple files are created. It will create a main .mov, then a second quicktime with -av.mov1 and -av.mov2 at the end. If I export video only it does the same but with -v.mov1 & 2.
It’s really annoying, because each one of these files is as big as the main one, and the main one ceases to play correctly if I delete these ‘clone’ files. Usually the main file has a thumbnail image, while the copies just show the Quicktime symbol.
This is really stumping me and is very annoying as I cannot use this function to make a simple quickime full res mixdown to pass on to the client.
Weirdly it seems to work fine for short clips.
Anyone come across this?

Doesn’t sound like a bug at all but it is file spanning that happens when writing to a FAT32 formatted hard drive.

It’s ok, I’ve found the problem. I had the limit capture/export option checked in System Settings!
Well there it is for anyone else who has inadvertently done this and is experiencing the same prob. Quicktime obviously splits the file into segment according to the data limit you have set.
