  Is there a better character generator?

  I’m wondering if anyone makes a 3d party CG for FCP that works better than Boris 3D? I am frustrated that Boris lacks some basic functionality that I am used to seeing in other CGs, and Text is useless. Thanks.

  Yeah, it’s called After Effects. 🙂

  There’s an excellent one from a Chinese company made for Edius on the PC but does stand alone. It’s called VisTitle and whenever I’m forced to edit in FCP (not a lot these days) I’ll do a round trip whenever possible.

  It’s not an ideal solution as unfortunately VisTitle doesn’t export quicktime movs but it’s a great bit of software created by responsive engineers. I’ve in hope of it’s QT export option as it’s been suggested to then since the demise of LiveType.
