In Compressor 3.5 there are jobs that can be run after encoding. Automatically included is a YouTube upload. I don’t use YouTube and instead use Vimeo quite a bit for client review. It would be great if I could set render and upload both for overnight rather than running the upload the next day. Does anyone know how to configure something like this for Vimeo?

    Thanks for any help.

Look up – Using Post-Transcoding Actions in the manual.

While I don’t think there is a quick and easy way to make a new action for Vimeo. My thinking is that YouTube has given Apple some hooks to build this action. I would think that you would have to build an Automation (sorry I don’t really use that app at all) that looks for a file in a watch folder, then logs on to your Vimeo account and uploads the video. No idea if this can be done but if it can be done this is probably the way to do it.

Thanks for the response. I haven’t used the automator app at all either; but thought that it might be a possibility but simply haven’t invested the time to learn the app and experiment yet. I’m still delving into FCP. Eventually I’ll give it a try using automator.

    Be well,
