Just come across something I never realised I had to look at in my Final Cut Express..the set up before editing! I have switched my Canon xm2 camera to shoot in 16:9..can anyone now tell me if/what kind of settings i now need to alter in my FCE? ( i notice for eg there are things like anamorphic etc etc). A friend recently gave me one of his tapes he had shot in 16:9 and the footage was quite stretched vertically, so i am hoping altering settings will adapt this when importing?

    thanks in advance.

Change the easy setup to DV Anamorphic. If you don’t you can change them after you’ve captured them as 4:3 DV files by clicking on the anamorphic checkbox you’ll find in a column in your browser.
