ok first id like to say tv to anyone who helps me. Now i have a program call eyeTV so o can record tv i exported an HD video on it to qt as a H.264 with 1280×720 and it works just fine. When i export it onto FCP though it has such a small canvas i cant even see it but when i export it with qt compression i tryed every size there is i get a picture where it is wide screen with an ugly layering so if letters pop up you can see two pairs of them. Like one ontop of other and i hate it any help will be appreciated. Also when clicking export do i click on the canvas then try exporting or highlight all the objects in timeline so everything exports?

I’m really not sure what you’re describing with a lot of this:

When i export it onto FCP though

Do you mean import into FCP?

it has such a small canvas i cant even see it

Do you mean that the viewer window is small? Do you know that you can adjust the amount of zoom at the top-center of the viewer window?

but when i export it with qt compression i tryed every size there is i get a picture where it is wide screen with an ugly layering so if letters pop up you can see two pairs of them. Like one ontop of other and i hate it any help will be appreciated.

I’m not sure what you’re describing, but maybe you could upload a screen shot or post a link to the ugly video so we can see what you’re describing.

I can tell you that exporting from final cut does not require you to select the individual clips in the timeline. When you have the timeline as the active window and select Export… you will get a file with the full contents of your timeline.

The one exception to this is in/out points on the timeline. If you have those set, only the area between the points will export. By default, however, there are no in/out points.
