1080i60 color bars offset
My 1080i60 color bars are completely off on the vector scope and my output has been refused by the broadcaster. I am using final cut pro 7 and outputting using the SDi output from a Kona LHi card. While the test pattern from the cardis perfect on the scope, the test from final cut are offset? As anyone ever seen that?

Do you have a video reference signal locking both the Kona and the deck? I have never had timing issues with SDI when both are properly referenced. If you don’t then the deck must be setup to lock to the incoming SDI signal.
The only other possibility is that the Kona has a timing ofset in it. Open up the AJA Control Panel and under the Control tab, check that vertical and horizontal timing is set to zero.

Even if I don’t go trough the deck, the gamma are off directly from the SDI output. (I’ve tried my scope directly in the output)
My card is referenced with an external black that seems to work perfectly.
The control tab, horizontal and vertical are set to zero.
It seems to be a problem related to final cut pro since when I take the test pattern from the Kona control panel, the levels are perfectly in their little squares. Same if I choose NTSC color bars instead of 1080i60 !?
Is there a HD compatibility issue or something? -
That is weird. I have not heard of this problem and you seem to have things connected correctly. The only other thing I can think of is the output settings in FCP may not be correctly set to match the sequence settings.

Find out first if the problem comes from FC.
I would export some bars on Prores and have a look.
How do the bars look in the FC waveform?
Or better, on the Color waveform.
