  • Log and transfer nor recognizing media?

Hi everyone, thank you in advance for any insight you might have into my issue.

We recently recorded media on the HVX 200 P2 cards, copied it to the drives (along with the text file), and for some reason log and transfer stopped allowing me to select my clips when I hit ” add folder” and navigate to the folder or the P2 card. This was working fine for weeks, but all of the sudden, it conked out.

We tried trashing the FCP preferences, no luck.

We’re running FCP on a Mac Air. We’d be extremely grateful for any insight anyone may have.

    Thank you,
    Jennifer

Did you install anything between the time it worked and the time it didn’t?

When you click on the ADD FOLDER button…what happens? Do you select the folder that contains the CONTENTS and LastClip folder? That’s always about as far as you need to go.

Hi Shane, thank you for your response – No, we didn’t install anything new. When I hit the add folder (or, even choose ‘Add Custom Path” on the right), the folder (sometimes) shows up on the left, but when it does, it doesn’t show the clips, or allow me to “Add selection to cue”.

It’s very bizarre. We even tried copying the Contents, etc folder to the desktop (in case it was an issue with the drive or the USB port), and still the same thing happens.

    Thanks again for responding…
    Jennifer

Go to the Finder and open up the CONTENTS of the card…do you have files in the VIDEO folder? CLIPS? AUDIO? Basically does the card contain anything?

Just before I read your post, we did exactly that – and guess what.. No media ever made it to the card! we are having the camera looked at on Monday – thanks for helping us trouble shoot, Shane!
