• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Problem – Menus Are Blacked out

  Hey,

  I’m desperately hoping someone can help me with this problem. I had Final Cut Studio installed on my computer around December and everything has worked fine up until last week when I wanted to change speed on something and the change speed box came up black. I found a way to work around this but then I realized when I tried to use compressor the same problem happened. I tried uninstalling it and installing again but the problem is still there.

  The uninstall process is very complicated if you are trying to do it by hand. There are a lot of parts that need to be removed before reinstalling. I recommend using FCS Remover.

  Their other app to delete pref files is a must also (you can back up your prefs also but this should only be done way everything is working well, not when you are having issues.

  I actually used both of those before and neither worked.

  I ended up erasing my entire hard drive, reinstalling mos x, and then finally reinstalling final cut pro. THANK GOD this worked! Hopefully don’t run into this problem again.
